Flooring systems – 4 x types

1. Wooden sub-frame with timber boards

Square timber joists form the base layer and are laid across the span of the structure. Once laid, pressure treated / impregnated chamfered boards  are then laid on to the timber base. These are locked into place by wooden battens that are fitted to the underside of the boards. A special aluminium extrusion is then fitted, every 3m - 5m, along the length of the structure securing the flooring in each bay.

Once the flooring system is laid the structure can be erected. Then with this type of floor, the structure is independent of the floor. However, if needed, base-plates can be supplied and fitted to the special aluminium extrusion enabling the structure to be constructed above the floor.

2. Galvanised steel sub-frame with wooden boards

Highly effective in terms of initial cost and general usability, the steel sub-frame floor systems creates a level and solid platform on which to base your event.

The system comprises of galvanised steel framework split into two layers, rectangular cross bearers and square joists. The first layer consists of cross bearers with integrated base-plates, which are anchored to the ground with earth anchors. The second layer is made up of steel joists, which are secured by steel lugs located on the first layer. Pressure treated / impregnated chamfered boards are then laid on to the steel sub-construction.

These are locked into place by wooden battens, which are fitted to the underside of the boards. A special aluminium extrusion is then fitted every 5m along the length of the structure securing the flooring in each 5m bay.

Once the flooring system is laid, the structure is ready to be erected directly on to the floor by connecting the legs to the integrated base-plates.

3. Cassette system with coated laminated ply or aluminium boards.

This system is normally used for hexagonal, octagonal and dodecagonal structures but is also available for all “A” frame standard structures. The system consists of a lightweight extruded aluminium perimeter section with integrated steel base plates.

When the base-plates are in place and all necessary measurements have been taken, the internal aluminium profile sections can be positioned. These sections are positioned at small intervals across the span and act as bearers for the boards.

Once all the sub-frame is in place the boards are ready to be positioned. The boards are manufactured from a 22mm multi-ply timber, which is coated with a non-slip surface to the top section. The perimeters of all boards are fitted with aluminium banding which protects the edges of the board during general usage and transportation.

Once the flooring system is laid, the structure is ready to be erected directly on to the floor by connecting the legs to the integrated base-plates.

4) Ring-beam cassette floor system

The Ring-beam cassette floor system from we provide is available for all party tent and big tent structures. The system consists alloy ground floor extrusions and interlocking cassette boards.

All boards are fitted with a special ‘male’ and a ‘female’ extrusion screwed to each long side and these sections lock into each other when laid next to each other. When laid, the boards are positioned on the sub-floor extrusion, which runs across the span of the structure.

Glass walling system

Available on all big tent structures, our lightweight integrated glass walling system is quick and easy to install. The system works on the basis of four panels per 5m bay. The panels are secured by the simple configuration of the supplied anodised alloy hardware kit. Our glass-walling system can be used in conjunction with, or without, our integrated flooring systems making it more flexible than other systems currently available on the market.

When the structure is set up on a grass or hardcore surface, the special ground tray sits directly on the ground spanning base-plate to base-plate. To add flexibility, glass panels can be exchanged for ABS panels and single or double door units. These may be added within any bay section as both the glass walling and ABS walling systems use the same hardware components.

Adding glass walling to your existing or new structure enhances the overall visual effect - giving the structure the feel of a permanent building with the flexibility of being easily re-locatable.

ABS Solid walling (for big tent 5m bays)

Available on all big tent structures, our lightweight integrated ABS solid walling system is quick and easy to install. The system works on the basis of four ABS panels per 5m bay. These panels are secured by the simple configuration of the supplied hardware kit that consists of 4 types of alloy profile.

Party tent glass and solid walling system

Now available for Party tent structures, this new and easy to handle integrated glass or solid walling system is fast and simple to install. The system works on the basis of four panels per 3m bay. The panels are secured by means of the anodised alloy hardware kit. All glass or solid panels may be substituted at anytime for single or double door units. In addition, this system can be used in conjunction with, or without, the new RLF or galvanised steel sub-frame flooring systems.

Bar tensioning

The easy screw-fix-system for the tensioning of the roof and gable covering is available on all party and big tent systems. The system is simple to use and does not involve unsightly ratchets and straps on the exterior of the structure. The unit simply fits into the bottom two channels of the roof beam.

Once in place, tension is applied by the spindle mechanism by screwing down the adjustable locking device which then applies pressure to the bar, producing a perfectly tensioned roof sheet. Bar tensioning is available on all party and large event series . However, bar tensioning is supplied as standard on all structures 25m in span width and upward.

Door units

High quality, robust and built to last, our door units are supplied as single or double door units. All door systems are supplied with a standard height of 2.10m – with the optional header sections available for 2.40m - 3.00m and 4.00m eave heights.

Header sections are available in glass or with a solid centre section. This system allows for maximum flexibility for door units within your inventories as the door units can be used across the complete range of available structures.

Window walls

Our "poly-glass" windows are visually pleasing and built to last. They are available in Georgian or contemporary designs. All window walls are manufactured using the finest PVC material and constructed using the latest in all- weather adhesives and high frequency welding.

Poly-glass windows are available in all sizes for all structures. Standard white wall sections can be upgraded to window walls when purchasing a complete structure.

Portal beams

Manufactured from a combination of galvanised steel and anodised alloy, portal beams are available across all product lines. Portal beams are required when the side / bracing wires are removed.

For example, one side of the structure needs to be left open on the day of an event or glass walls or a door unit are needed to be positioned in a bracing / wire bay. The use of the portal beam enables an unobstructed view or access whilst maintaining the structural integrity of the building.

Structure conversions

Half hexagonal, octagonal or dodecagonal sections can be added to the end bay of any “A” framed structure. Standard conversion kits can be fitted easily to any structure up to 50m in span. In addition, lean-to units may be added at any time – ideal for service areas like bars and catering units.

Alternatively, or to be used in conjunction with special end sections, peaked roof conversion kits may be used on all “A” framed structures. The peaked roof spans across two bays 3m or 5m bays. This results in a tensile creation pleasing to the eye whilst adding a new dimension to your existing structure.

Interior linings

Standard linings are available for all structures in a variety of colours and fabric types. Standard linings are supplied in either 2oz or 4oz machine washable FR polyester. Our linings can be made to fit any size of structure with either a pleated or flat finish. All fabrics used meet all current EU flame retardancy requirements.

Ramps & storage systems

Special adjustable ramp sections are available for all flooring systems. Manufactured from lightweight 4mm stainless steel sheet with textured top surface designed to reduce slippage and increase traction.

Galvanised steel pallet system enables your framework, PVC, and hardware for doors and glass elements to be transported easily and efficiently to and from site.
